Stephanie pursued a Bachelor of Music in Piano & Vocal Performance at the University of Alberta before coming to the island for musical theatre training at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. Having taught for over 20 years, she also performs around the world in many capacities – beyond a triple threat, she is a multi-instrumentalist, choral conductor, music director, arranger, cruise ship mainstage diva and all-request piano bar maven. This proud CCPA alumni is eternally grateful to be brought back “home” to work with this next generation of theatre stars.
Stephanie believes having experience in multiple disciplines allows you to really hone in on your own “specialized tool belt”, which explains how continued studies in yoga, acupressure, vocal physiology and reiki truly add to her full-body approach in the studio. With additional training in principles of healthy child development, trauma-informed pedagogy and neurodivergent strategies, she considers her ability to connect with individual needs paramount to “nailing” any technique… finding what works for you, your body and soul is what matters the most! Good music should FEEL good. Some of her favourite MT performance credits: Nancy (Oliver), Mme. Thenardier (Les Miserables), Magenta (Rocky Horror) and Elizabeth (Young Frankenstein). MD highlights: Apple Tree (Belfry), 25th Annual…Spelling Bee, 100 Years of Broadway, Threepenny Opera (Phoenix), Anne of Green Gables (CCPA) A Chorus Line, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, A Class Act, Working (PCS), Rocky Horror Show (RKO), Into the Woods, Nevermore (UAP).
Current: Ride the Cyclone (CCPA Studio Ensemble)
