Dayna is an award winning director and choreographer who has been working in theatre professionally for 25 years. Most recently Dayna was the resident director of the Toronto production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and she also had that position on Come From Away before the pandemic. She travelled to London, England and Melbourne, Australia to work as an associate director/choreographer on Come From Away as well. Dayna was at the Stratford Festival for 9 seasons as an actor and choreographer and worked on 11 productions at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa as a director, choreographer, and actor. Selected credits include: Crazy For You (Citadel Theatre Calgary-Sterling and Betty awards for Outstanding production and Outstanding choreography), The 39 Steps (Neptune/Stage West/1000 Islands), Avenue Q (Citadel-Sterling for Outstanding production), Oliver! (NAC), Forever Plaid (Starvox), Alice Through the Looking Glass (Stratford/NAC/Charlottetown/MTC/Citadel), All’s Well That Ends Well, Palmer Park (Stratford). Dayna recently worked as an associate director at the Broadway auditions for the New York production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She is based in Toronto where she lives and gardens with her husband and two kids.
